1965 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible

A largely original car that had been sitting for 20 years. The trunk, motor, and interior are completely original.

After going over the paint, it appears to be about 50 percent factory paint and the rest repainted at various points in its life. All of the paint is not great. There are areas of peeling and checking. The car presents better in pictures than in person. A correct Code A black car with black interior and top. 352 V8 and automatic on the column.

Only 49K actual miles. Mechanically this car has been gone over from top to bottom. All four brand new wheel cylinders and rear brake lines. New master cylinder. Radiator flush and new hoses and thermostat. New oil filter and oil change. New air filter. New battery. Complete tune-up with new fuel filter, plugs, wires, points, cap, rotor, and condenser and carburetor rebuild. New rear shocks and a new set of tires.

The car runs and drives excellent. It smokes a little when warm, but I think that will work itself out as it gets used more. Power steering works great. Radio works. All of the lights work correctly. All of the gauges work. The power top goes up and down well and has a nice boot. The interior of the car is very nice. There is one small hole in the top but it doesn't leak. There are two small holes on the body in front of the rear wheels both pictured.

This is a great car to drive and enjoy. It is not perfect and we've tried to put up a good honest description.
