This was my antique car club's giveaway car in 1984. We bought it 6 years ago from the man who won it and we just re-purchased it from the man we sold it to 6 years ago.
This car had an amateur restoration sometime prior to 1980. The pictures make the car look much nicer than it is.
Overall the car is very solid, but it's no show winner. The paint is chipping and faded in places. The interior is worn and has some tears. What the car lacks in appearance it more than makes up for in performance. It runs excellent. It just had a full tune-up with a new battery. I took it on a 10-mile ride and it runs great. The brakes feel good the clutch is good. It shifts nicely. It does not overheat. The spark advance and throttle work great. The lights work although they now have a pull switch instead of operating on the steering wheel. The map light works. I'm happy to send any additional pictures.
This is a great cruiser for parades or ice cream runs. Neat car with a cool story!
