1930 Ford Model A
Super cool homemade fire truck using a 1930 Ford Model A.
Hand built by Jack Simon who was a lifelong firefighter and PA State Fire Commissioner to be used in parades. It's a very amateur type of build.
The fit and finish is rough along with the paint, but it's super cool.
We pulled it out of a garage where it sat for the last 15 years and fully serviced it at a cost of over $3,000!
Brand new Lucas tires. Brand new radiator. Flushed the block. Brand new water pump. Fresh tune up, fuel flush and brake adjustment. We repainted all the wood.
It runs excellent. It shifts great. The brakes feel good. Doesn't overheat. All the lights work properly, including the added turn signals and the added display lights. It's been converted to a 12-volt so it starts right up!
Tons of cool add-ons for any fire enthusiast like the antique extinguishers, hoses, and brass hose ends. Really a neat fun vehicle that will get tons of attention anywhere you take it!
Please note it's titled as a 1928 on a good clean PA Title.
