1970 Chevrolet El Camino
I usually don't play with project stuff but this one-family-owned El Camino (transferred to daughter after her dad, the original owner, passed away five years ago) was way too cool to pass up!
Purchased new by Jim Milbert from Tom Henry Chevrolet in Bakerstown, PA.
Finished in triple blue with a 350/250 HP motor and an automatic transmission.
Jim used the car pretty much every day until ten years ago, but it was always maintained and garage kept.
The car is all there but the paint is faded, there are areas of rust in the bed, there are miscellaneous areas of minor surface rust on various parts of the car, and the rear passenger side fender is dented from hitting the garage. The rockers and door bottoms are nice. The underneath doesn't look too bad either. The car has a fuzzy seat cover that I am not taking off, but it should be assumed the seat is torn up underneath. Otherwise, the interior is complete and not in bad shape overall.
The car runs, drives, starts, and stops very well. The horn, heater, and all of the lights work as they should.
You could use it as is or restore it, would be a fun car either way. I have the original owner's manual, Protect-O-Plate, and financing paperwork.
A great and inexpensive way to get into a 1970 El Camino!
