1968 Chevrolet Malibu
Really neat "amateur restoration" of a Code '13639' Malibu Sport Sedan that had Concours badges added at some point.
The car was originally turquoise but was painted fire engine red for use in parades by its restorer. The man was a long-time firefighter, and Pennsylvania Fire Commissioner, and loved firefighting. This car was redone for him to take to parades and shows in his retirement. The car sat for about 13 years after he passed. We dug it out of an old garage and completely serviced it.
It runs and drives great, and everything works including the lights and sirens. It's equipped with the original 250 6-cylinder motor with an automatic on the column.
Very nice trunk and motor compartments. The bodywork, interior, and paint are all very amateur driver quality. It's a great car to use and enjoy, it's just not perfect.
Good clean PA title.
